    I think the highlander, camry, rav4, sienna all have the same bolt pattern but I don't know about offset and backspacing.

    Do any of you know if that 5.25 inch backspacing will have any rubbing with some 31"s on just the 3" lift? I'm thinking about getting those as well..

    I've got a 1998 5-lug, with 2004 Highlander Hybrid Limited wheels...the front wheels needed a bit of modding to fit.

    With a five lug pattern you measure the bolt centers while skipping one bolt.

    1-2-3-4-5 - so you would measure 1-3 or 2 to 4 or 3 to 5 - etc.

    Not so. The measurement has to be diametrically opposite.

    Let's say I have a 5x4.5 wheel size. There are five wheel studs: 1-2-3-4-5

    How is the size of the stud pattern properly measured?

    Which bolt centers do I measure between to find the 4.5" ?

    I say it is between any two studs having one between them.

    What do you say?

    With an even number of holes on a pitch circle diameter (bolt circle) you can measure directly. Not so with an odd number of holes, this has to be calculated. The formula is below:
    D = B / (Sin(360/2N))

    where

    D = PCD (diameter you are after)
    B = distance between holes
    N = number of holes

    Try googling PCD to verify this.
