5 Lug California Meet/Date/area

What time works foreveryone and what trail are we going on so I can redo the main posty and we can all confirm on location/time. At the moment the date of the 14th august is confirmed. Let's get it all hashed out so we are ready. PS I would like it if we all went to get julian pie and take pictures after.

My driveshaft is off and it'll be a couple days for the part I need to fix it.

This is when I will be attending. Julian pie after for more group pictures and pie.

We have 3 confirmed people coming anyone else coming. Everyone is welcome to come no matter the vehicle type.

 

You know that proctor valley isn't near Julian right? Only Julian pie out there will be from the Albertson's in Rancho

 

Damn I didn't think it was that far.

Proctor Valley is in Jamul near the new Hollywood casino (off the 94). Descanso is about 45min drive from Jamul, it would be about another hour or so to take the trail from Descanso to Julian or take the 79 to Julian from Descanso which is about 35min with no traffic driving the speed limit.

 

I'm not sure how much of proctor valley is open these days, back in the day (about 16 years ago) you could ride dirt bikes out there for miles but they started shutting down the area.

I know a lot of these areas, I grew up in east county.

I would also recommend McCain Valley in Boulevard lots of good views of Ocotillo and has an OHV park. The border roads out there are fun too, the town of Jacumba near McCain Valley has the Hot Spring Spa (which has good food, drinks, pool, hot springs and rooms) and a new BBQ place that's pretty good.

On Sunday the 14th I'm going to do Bolder creek to Julian, stopping at the water falls for a dunk and finishing up in Julian for that pie you've been talking about all week.

 

Well every one decided on proctor valley already. We can still change our plans since we have a day. I wouldn't mind doing anything as long as it's 2wd friendly.

 

What about boulder creek wpuld everyone be down for that instead. We need vote on it since it's just 3 of us atm.

I have no idea how to handle these meets but I'm hoping it turns out good I'm not really good at off roading plus I've been busy at work all weekend. Was hoping to do the julian trail this week end but I guess another time. I heard boulder Greek was hard. Proctor Valley seems short at 4mi the julian trail was 24.

 

I'll have to text everyone see what we are gonna do. Looks to be proctor valley atm.
