:pccoffee: updating the firmware on my mapecu3. Haven't touched my tune in over a year. This update takes forever. They came out with some new features like e85, egt, coolant temp, and a few safety features. I had to update my fuel table. Once I pop into open loop the truck would go pig rich. I even disconnected the fpr from my throttle body and now reference from atmospheric pressure.

I remember when I had accidentally updated my Map-Ecu2. Had a perfectly tuned file from Gadget on it. I just wanted to connect and save that file. Ended up wiping it out.....

This time they send you a warning to back up your file. Also they make a new folder in your program files. So I can use all my old maps, but yes you need to reload it. It is slowly getting more user friendly. It still no cobb access port like what I have to tune my car. This works if you are patient and check your work 3 times. A third the price of a standalone and about a third the way there. Great for conservative tuning.

I just got a flat head screwdriver to tune my 22R. I adjust for elevation, air temperature and amount of oil it feels like burning that day.

Lol do you have fine adjustment for low and high? I'm almost there already. Should have a decent base tune end of today.

Went to Ocotillo wells over the weekend with a bunch of homies on here. Motor and truck did great, but my core support is yelling at me in pain.

Hood latch started coming loose. Coolant overflow bounced out of its track. Tail light wires broke from tires throwing dirt. Typical stuff you see go wrong because you drive the truck like a bat out of hell. I think I need to order up some hood pins and get that hood off my core support.

    Is your hood fiber glass?

It's steel. A lot of guys said the fiberglass ones aren't that much lighter. All the stock stuff is starting to fatigue.

Hmm. The age is taking that toll.

My hood was a significant difference in weight. People said the same things about it. It was between 20-30 lbs in difference.

What is your exhaust situation from turbo back, I really like the sound!

That clip is with my cutout open. It is basically 3-4ft of 2.5" pipe after the turbo dumping straight to the ground right under the passenger door. Not loud at all. You can hear the radio and talk to someone in the cab.

Sounds really good, I'll have to consider a cutout when I redo my exhaust again. I need to re route my pipe. Does it dump after the cat or before when the cutout is open?

Before the cat. The turbo is a pretty aggressive muffler. It is quieter than when I'm na with long tube headers, cat and 18" magnaflow

Cool, I'm gonna get the LCE headers (partly because I want them, other part being because I fucked up my AF sensor bung) and reroute the exhaust pipe over the frame and out the bed side come spring time. It hangs under right now and it is a bit intrusive when I get near rocks and will impede mounting sliders.

Sorta an older pic but you can see how I didn't think everything through...

I've made plenty of mistakes on this build. I like my lce headers. They do hang down before the frame right behind the steering rack, but I never slammed on them. Just might need to be careful going over a razor back hill that is hard packed. I'm 5 lug though so you might not even have my issue.

Yeah, it is an iterative process. That whole area is protected on a 4x4 frame, no area for anything to touch except maybe by the collector and CAT flange.

Sounds like it is running really well. Your tuning must be quite accurate.

Yours sounds so much better than mine. Mines just fucking loud. Don't hear a turbo spool at all except on deceleration and even then it's minimal. I'm running just a 3" downpipe.
