These were good price glass too, lol. Pretty sure you have the same glass as me. Get tails for a regular cab or access cab. Double cab tails are huge. Takes a bit of searching to find them in red and clear. Think I paid 150 for this glass.

Here's the place where they're too long - about 8" between the cab and the wheel well needs to be cut out of them and matched to look smooth (hopefully). John at Advanced Fiberglass Concepts said he'd help me get a good process going to cut and mend them back together when I picked up my fenders from him - he would charge another $3-400 if they did it for me. I paid $250 for them so I don't want to pay any extra otherwise it wouldn't be worth it when I could just buy some new ones. It's weird because Tundras don't have the body lines down by the rocker panels and I've seen stock bedsides and fiberglass ones for Tundras and they're flat sided like yours.

This pic was taken with the bedsides matched up perfectly with the tailgate and the wheel is centered in the wheel well.

Here's the tail light opening. Almost 12" exactly from top to bottom - do you know what style that would be based off of this dimension?

I cut mine down too. I used an angle grinder. They also a few inches longer behind the axle. I'll measure my tails tomorrow. It's interesting glass.

Thanks man! Yeah they came from an equally interesting man - he had a complete machine shop stuffed into his 2 bay garage with a lift and about 10 junked cars and trucks and 2 big boats. He was building a precoma with a TC front kit and some custom sua he made brackets for. He had these with a first gen Tundra conversion clip. He said they were from McNeil, but they're site doesn't have them. It's not a big deal for me to find out, but maybe I'll figure it out eventually. lol

...And the truck came back apart. Going to replace the steering rack. Inner tie rods are shot and looks to be ready to piss oil out the seals on the passenger side.

It would sure be dumb if I wrecked this truck due to maintenance.

Not looking promising. Have to order a few parts that aren’t locally available. Bit frustrating but I’ll be out there soon enough.

Solo said they'll send racks to be rebuilt at the place that does all theirs with top of the line seals and parts for $350. Are you going to rebuild it yourself though?

I got 7 years out of this rack. I don’t think it is oem. Has trw koyo all over it? It was brand new from the last owner. Doubt he did oem.

I did some close looking and found out it was a Napa rack. Just got another one. Guess I’m the lucky guy that can get away with reman racks. $200 and life time warranty. 5 lug oem rack is $850. I could make a swing steering for that price. I’m only pulling 13” travel with a 6 over kit. Pretty conservative setup.

Bit of a bummer. Had to cancel on everyone this week. Really hard saying no to a trip.

Can't beat $200 for sure, especially if the last one lasted that long. Camelback is getting oem racks down to around $550, but still $200 for something that lasted that long is the best deal in town.

If I can swing them I will. Think I need to stay away from 35s. Heard that what kills them. That rack lasted as long as my high end uniballs which are getting changed out too right now.

Just hit up @gunny1005 if you need oem parts for the lowest price possible. I've bought a lot of stuff from him for my engine replacement and it's been a pleasure doing business with him.
