U bolt flip kits are meant to go spring under. I guess it will work the other way, but that's going in the opposite direction if you're offroading

How so?? I thought they provided additional lift and ground clearance with the leafs placed over the axle.

You get axle wrap, less stress on drive shaft And spring under gives you the clearance. Look at the giant 62" kit n link killer springs, spring under

Good points, but I could always add a traction bar. Do you know anyway to squeeze 3 more inches of lift and still keep the rear relatively soft?

My research is telling me I might have to make a custom leaf pack or get 63s but I know damn well I don't want another all in the rear end

Longer pack, more travel, it might be the better option regardless

Longer shackles. Total chaos has some, you can find some diy ones on dezertrangers or race-dezert n even here. Deaver is what most guys have, you can find those used on cl

Trac bars will help If you have alot of torque. These small 4 bangers with big tires have absolutely no torque. Its the high speed stuff you gotta watch out for

There really isn't a mid travel setup for these trucks. Spindle lift n spacer with aal n shackle are pretty much all the lift variations. There are a few coil spring options but the ride is hash. If you want more then you should go long travel. That's pretty much your best bet with the 5 lugs.

I've got the v6, it's not a powerhouse but I think it could cause the issue. Ill check out the shackles, but I've already got 2" ones. I haven't seen anything longer than that

Will 6 lug shackles fit a 5 lug?? Someone in my area has deavers and 12" shackles for sale. I'd get em but a local shop told me the shackles aren't compatible.

With the v6 you should be ok with 31" tires. The 1st gen shackles are the same for 5 lugs n prerunner. Total chaos has 9" n 12". But those are also used with a leaf pack. Check out oldmanemu. I read lots of guy running the dakkar pack

If you're headed for long travel setup then you may as well get a welder n tube bender n learn to fab. Az cl has those too lol

I would but it's mostly the time to learn that I don't have, welding seems like an art that takes practice.

I passed on those deavers, it was an f55 pack and from what Ive been seeing on here on TW it's not a very good pack to use especially with load carry. Guess I'll just wait for a f67 to come along. Think he'll sell me just the 12" shackles

Just an update, some new parts arrived last night. I've got the springs and UCAs, but I'm only going to use the UCAs. If anyone wants some 3" lift springs let me know.
