    I have a 2nd Tacoma for context.

I'm just seeing so much information I'm overloaded. I really like the look of the simulated beadlocks on these wheels. They have the correct Wheel Size: 15x8 and correct Bolt Pattern: 5 on 4.5. .

But I heard that steel wheels rub the calibers, however the ones linked have a 3.75 backspace and a neg offset of -19. I saw someone mentioning that clears. Does that clear the calibers? Also, what makes it to where steel wheels rub calibers and not others?

If that does not work, what do I need to be looking for when it comes to finding wheels that will bolt on and work no issues?

Anyways, going forward once I get wheels that work, I was going to go with these tires and take off those black boxes and call it a day. Any issues with this?

I'm no expert on this, but I think the biggest issue with getting rims to fit (with a reasonable offset) is that the mounting surface of the rim can't be much larger than the mounting surface on the disc rotor.

For example these rims will not fit without a spacer and grinding on the caliper.

These two blue lines need to be close to the same length.

If you went through with it can you give an update? Also looking at steel 15x8 rims with -19 mm offset I’m mostly worried about the offset

235 75 15 fits with no mods if you use a wheel with stock specs.

I collected a set of 'spare tire' wheels, painted them and added the SS trim rings for an old skol flair.

Not everyone's taste, but I don't try to pretend to be something I'm not with my lowly 5 lug.

Also, the 18" wheels from the X runner works fine, but not that easy to find.

18"x8" G-line alloys white wheels w/ 255/45-18 tires, ARE topper, CAI, interior leds, add a leaf, bluish white headlights, steering wheel cover, WTB: CAT BACK EXHAUST, LED HEADLIGHTS, ETC.
Here's my 13' base access 2.7 with G-line 18x8's +30, I scored a set of barely used 255/45ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport 3+ from FB marketplace for $100. I wasn't sure about the permanently glued on white lettering but I couldn't pass for that price. It cost20230621_211413.jpg more to mount & balance them! Im in process of cleaning the shop & have 3 of the original steel wheels with factory dry rotted tires if anyone wants them. 20230621_211327.jpg

Does anyone know that biggest you can go without rubbing for the 5 lugs with no lift? I got super lucky and my grandpa just gave me his old 2010 with no miles on it and I love it but I think it could use some bigger tires. I was hoping I could get 30”s with no lift.

You could get them to flip them and mount them backwards to put letter on insides looks good tho!

I went with Vision Turbine wheels with 220/75/16 road tires. Really improved the look over the stock steelies and fit perfectly. My main concern was losing power and messing up the speedometer but the wheels are only about 5% larger than stock.

235/75/r15 fit my truck fine with zero modification, and I haven't experienced any rubbing. These wheels are a -6mm offset.

Planning 16x8 rims, 245/75/16 tires and black grill /blackout lettering

I just bought the same wheels. What size did you get and any rubbing issues or regrets? I got the 16x8 vision Turbines. A couple questions and I’ve read a ton online and mostly on this site!

Do you use extended thread new lugs and/or hub centric rings? I just bought both and the rings should convert the wheels center bore of 83.1 to the 60.1mm of the truck. I’ve heard it’s either going to be lug centric or hub centric…but not exactly sure.

Lastly, I plan to mount 245/75/16 tires. Trying to decide between the solid Michelin Defender LTX M/S and the Toyo Open Country AT3. AT3 def look better but I usually get Michelins for quality and with Costco selling and $80 off, they are almost the same price.
