    Apparently they switched to a better quality steel, eliminating the need for fully boxed chassis. Also the c-channel frame makes for a smoother ride because the frame can flex and stuff. I personally would like a fully boxed frame, I think they just wanted to use the least amount of material possible and still charge the same price. Nothing is built as strong or long lasting anymore, everything is cheap and easy.

    better quality? What about the rust recals? frame flex for a smoother ride?:eek: didn't know that was they're angle. thats a first

    The steel in my taco frame looks way nastier with rust build up

    from my understanding they also use less steel for a lighter vehicle, ease of mounting cross braces, and im guessing better mpg from the lighter truck. im gonna be plating my frame soon so i DGAF :D

    I really want to know how/what leaf pack is going to work with our five lugs...

    I think if you add blocks to suspension under axle then it actually lowers it doesnt it???

    if you put soa leafs under you will be lowered but if your gonna do soa you dont really have to swap leafs. but me honestly i would keep the sua.

    just do a shackle flip and extended shackles

    only thing i can think of would be to put together a custom leaf pack and get it arced fo the lift you want. any leaf spring shops by you?

    yeah thats what i was gonna tell you to do. have them tear the leafs down to the main leaf and build a pack from there

    Steering knuckle bolts sheared off while rallying it pretty hard in the dirt. Got way lucky that it happened going really slow turning around. Grade 8.8 bolt sheared first the the grade 10.9 went. Felt it pulling while braking so I slowed down to turn around and check it out and snap she went.

    Was able to weld a nut to the grade 10.9 stud to back it out but the welds wouldn't stick to the 8.8 grade so I'm going to try a couple other things before I consider just welding the knuckle to the spindle. Although its cast so crackage is likely
