OK that makes sense currently i have sketchy shackles and an AAL but its nearly time for a new leaf pack and shackles.

Could i do something like the doetsch UCA's and coilovers?

fabtech 3" spindles, icon aal, 10" bilstein 7100 rear shocks, daystar coil spacers, AFE Pro Dry-s drop in filter, sony head unit, 2 12" pioneer subs, pioneer 6.5s all around, custom 1.25 lift shackles, custom lower ball joint brackets fabbed by me
why do you want more travel? the stock suspension can only handle so much before it fucks up. bumped from the factory youll get ball joint bind if your not careful when messing with it. its almost maxed out as is. not to mention increased bumpsteer which will affect the handling. the only thing you can gain is droop. but even then it will be limited by the uca hitting the coil regardless of the kit you get. ask me how I know :anonymous:

i just want to be able go push it harder when i'm out in four peaks or northern AZ exploring, just want it to absorb the big bumps better and washboard. Even though its 2wd i like making my truck more capable i've surprised people with the places ive gotten it except sand that stuff has gotten me stuck a couple times. A locker would help a ton there but its my DD and i dont really want to put an auto locker in it.

Also i just like projects :D messing with stuff is fun

How much would upgrading my shocks and coils help with getting better performance?

Get an ARB Air locker... that's what I did.. It's amazing

depends on what kind of set-up you want... Mid travel... or go with a TRD suspension (people sell them here all the time, used, for cheap).. My Icon with TC UCA MT Kit was about two grand

Haven't really looked into it, but I thought we could only use the rears off of a TRD?

hot damn! I wish there was a use for mid or long travel around me, the only wheeling around me is mud, which is a GIANT PITA, which all you really need is an ass load of power and mud terrains... and momentum hahaha

ughhhh... it rains about 4:00 pm almost everyday in the summer over here. There's always some mud somewhere around me. The best thing about me getting stuck was the truck that had pulled me out was a built 7.3 Powerstroke... pulling out a tiny little 5 lugger...hahahah

Yeah, not sure what options we have for coilovers, I haven't looked into them but I believe the options are zero (as has been already said)

Joel probably has more experience here than me, I haven't broke stock shit like him so he obviously pushes his harder. I did break a ball joint but it was due to an encounter with a guard rail not offroading

You can but it will lower you since 6 lugs are SOA and we're SUA. Their leaves have less arch to them

My truck has seen some mud time, I wish I had a video/pics of the day we got caught out in the rain. the little 5 lugger took it like a champ and climbed some unbelievable shit to get out of the woods, I along with the other guys I was with was amazed.

Do they even make an air locker that will fit a first gen 5-lug? i thought they didn't make any for our diff.

I was out backpacking one time and a massive rainstorm came in that afternoon, the next day it was insanely muddy on the forest road we drove in on, i just kept my speed up and made it out just fine. The truck was completely brown with sticks and clumps of dirt stuck on it but i never got stuck. it was actually pretty fun
