    Yeah, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and order one today. I showed the pics to the owner of a local transmission shop and he'd never seen that happen and he's been in business for 30+ years. He said to buy a used or new one.

    It's ~$950 in parts without any synchronizers, ~$1200 with synchronizers, and $1880 for a new trans shipped. $700 is a lot of money but I just don't have the time to rebuild this right now. I use the truck as a secondary vehicle 49 weeks a year, but use it for a 3 week vacation. And it's time for vacation :)
