5 speed transmission vibration

    I recently purchased a 2007 taco 4 cylinder (2.7) 5 speed
    and as son as i shift gears and the gear engages there is a vibration or humming noise what could this be?

    President McKinley w/KLM 203P and threw the roof antenna, ICON RXT leaf spring packs (position 2), Bilsteen 5100s, ARE Camper Shell, Pop & Lock tail gate, Dash Cam
    possibly the carrier bearing as well if happens only when tje truck moves

    ujoints are my first guess....I had a 95, and it blew out the front ujoint/knuckle and did some major damage.

    wilcam47 I kind of thought the same thing possibly ujoints as well I do have a little play and it jiggles a little

    OP, how many miles on your truck? Do you know if the clutch has ever been changed? The above posters offer some good ideas but I would not rule out the clutch assembly itself especially since there have been a couple of TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) and clutch part revisions to address clutch issues related to the 5-speed. Most of the problem clutches are reported in the time frame particularly from '05-11.

    Ive got 188000 miles I dont know if the clutch lever has been changed
