In Texas 5% on the rear passenger and sliding back windows is legal. 20% is the darkest for the driver and passenger windows. That's what I run and it was difficult at first but you get used to it. Plus it's nice to have a cool/ dark cab

Check out my Build to See!

haha yeah pretty much. I can see the lights from my stereo. If im in town where its semi lit I can see the road and of course other vehicles behind me. It was a pretty stupid choice on my part...lesson learned

My wife's old car had 5% all the way around and 35% on the windshield. I hated driving that car at night. I wont ever tint the windshield on anything I own.
My old truck had 5% on the back door windows, and rear window, and 20% on the front door windows. I liked that combo.

Haha I've been in trucks like that before, I couldn't handle it for my own truck.

That's what they say right, live and learn!

One of my buddies has 35% on his windshield, but his other windows are legal, so it's nothing like on your wife's old car, but I hear ya!

Oh and I like your truck :D

I've been driving for twenty years with 5% all around(an inch and a half below "legal line" on front) been pulled at least six or eight times for speeding etc... and have never got a ticket for tint. I'd also only had Black cars. The last two I bought have been Silver(First was a 2011 Ranger that got totaled with 2,500 miles on it.). I didn't like how the 5% looked on them. It was more noticeable and I didn't want to get a ticket, plus I didn't like how it looked.
So now I have 5% rear, 5% front strip(1 1/2" below legal),20% driver and passenger door. I also have this.

as i said, I like it, and I still do wear oakleys w/ black iridium lenses during the day time (around 10% vlt shades alone)

temperature wise it keeps my truck nice and cool.

I'm sure it keeps it plenty cool inside.

Not sure how you wear sunglasses too, but hey if it works for you then it works for you.

thank you for not being like every single one of the other anti windshield tint nazis. When you 1st sit down in the truck, its noticeable, keep the doors closed w/ windows up, you get used to it immediately.

think of it like dark sunglasses, when you 1st put them on, its hard to see cause they're dark, wear them for a minute or so, and taking them off is blinding

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Not sure what my wife's Camry is, but I hate; at night, might as well be blindfolded when backing out od something.

I have 50% on my windshield, 30% on the front doors, and 15% on the rear doors and rear windshield. I kinda want to do the rear window 5%. No issues here. I once had an Escalade with 5% All around and the windshield at 30%. Stupid dark

I dont have any pics of my current truck but here is my old pre-runner. same setup as my current taco

Some of this Some of that
I had 20% on my front windows, never got troubled by the police even though 35% is the limit. Going to 35% blackbox ceramic tint, auto zone tint got all scratched up pretty quick
