I get the stars facing forward as in the flag is in motion, It's on my uniform. I jus never see a reverse flag when not placed on the right side of something. But if it's a goruck thing then I get it

I got 5% in the rear and 20% in the fronts. I actually regret not getting 5% all around. The tint during the day is just perfect. However even at night with 20% the windows get fully rolled down when reversing out.

Typically the legal limit in most states in this area is 35% for front sides and 20% for back sides, back, and windshield banner no more than 5"

I have 35% and would not go any darker.

My friend had 5% on and he ended up taking it off because at night the visibility was so bad

I like my 5%. I usually roll my windows down if I have to when it's dark out. Other than that I like having the privacy.

I had 5% all around on my last truck. I loved it and although it was inconvenient at times during night it was still manageable. Just had to roll the windows down every now and again if something was difficult to see. On my tacoma I got 15% all around and I'm happy with it. Its a nice dark shade but doesn't impair my night driving.

I have like %5 on the back and %15 on the front but I would go to %5 if I could
I mean I dont mind rolling down the window to pull in at night. If you had some led reverse lights you would be golden

5% over the factory tint was too dark for me. I ended up getting the rears removed and replaced with 20% over the factory tint. My front side windows are 15% which works well for visibility at night. I also have 35% on the windshield. Love having my windows tinted and I don't have trouble driving at night.

I used to have 5% all the way around on my old 89 4x4. I constantly hit center dividers making left hand turns at intersections. Finally got a fix it ticket for it one day ($10), ripped it off, got ticket signed off, put 35% on. The 35% was much better on the sides and still comfortably dark.

I just put 20% on my 06 Tacoma side windows and it's almost too dark. But I'll leave it I guess. Visibility is decent

All aftermarket tint is illegal here in NH. I can't remember what I had on my Jetta when I moved to NH 15 years ago, but within the first month I was pulled over and forced to take it off, right there on the road. Cop in Bedford NH was a douche.

I think it's funny all you guys saying just roll your windows down at night. When it's below 0 outside, you dont roll anything down. Not bashing, just saying.

I am just putting in my opinion again here, and clarifying correct information. I am sure I will get someone mad. lmao.

According to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles current regulations,
So the driver and passenger front windows are 25%, not 20, or 35. Easy to find. Again, not trying to ruffle feathers, just bringing in the information just in case someone is curious.

And just to clarify, there are stipulations to the rear side windows, and the actual rear window itself. According to law, there are NO limits in Texas to the side windows behind the driver, but strangely enough, there is a limit to the rear window in that if you do not have side mirrors, then NO tint is legal, but if you DO have side mirrors, the rearmost window is legally limited to 25%. Find it all here.

I will tell you this: I am not an anti-windshield tint Nazi. I do however feel that you should follow the law here. If you don't like the law, then get out there and find some signatures and get the laws changed. You cannot tell me that you have full visual range at night. This may fall on deaf ears, but how would you feel if you didn't see someone at night who was jogging, and you hit and killed them because you were not able to see them in time? I have nothing at all against tint. Hell, my truck is tinted in the back, and behind my seat, Just saying don't go thinking that when we talk about the law that we are being Nazi. It is called a law for a reason. We don't pick and choose the laws we want to follow. Don't like them? Do something about it to change them.

Actually if you look up NH law, it is not illegal. NH state website on tinting says aftermarket tint is legal:

I have had 5% on my rear window (truck slider) before, and 35% on the side windows. IMO even 35% is too dark on front windows. It's not going to get better, you are always going to have very low visibility out those windows at night, and even in some conditions during the day. My greatest fear was always hitting someone in a crosswalk that I could not see though the front side windows. Another scary scenario would be backing out of a driveway and have a kid on a bike run into the side of the truck. I will never tint front windows again, and won't go past 35% on the rears.

Even with an extra set of 55W fogs under my rear bumper, I never could see s**t through the 5% tinted rear window.
