5 tire rotation - Are onto this?

How do you manage your Taco's tire rotation?

  1. 4 tire rotation only - I ignore the spare

    I just got new tires and decided to take the plunge and get a 5th wheel so I can do the 5 tire rotation. I needed a new spare anyway as the one underneath was original to my 4runner manufactured way back in 2006, it was indeed crusty and dry rotted to hell.

    Between that, the fact that there's a TPMS sensor in the spare and it being full-time 4wd just made sense. This way if I get a flat the spare will be close in size due to being in rotation.

    I'll be doing the 5 tire rotation... - I managed to score a new genuine OEM 21 PRO wheel on ebay just last night (for quite cheap too!) so at least that part was not painful...

    I did get the new tire for the spare at the time as the other 4... I'll switch the new wheel for the steelie at the first rotation... (or at the first flat! -knock on wood...)

    Damn TPMS... I'll see what i do about those...

    My primary tires were $180. each. The spare I got at Walmart for $83.
