    Good Real Early morning to all!!! Been catching up after being gone all weekend...the Taco got it's first highway trip up to Michigan to visit my wife and her severely ailing mom. She has been up there for a month now, and mom is fading fast. In home hospice and they are giving her 6 months at best. Not the happiest of trips....

    Hug your loved ones all, and soak up life!!

    I hear ya as well..I am 100% Scandinavian, and the wife is 100% Finnish/Irish ginger...we usually go into hibernation in the summer...

    thanks man...she went downhill quick...like in 2 months time. From being pretty stout, and fiercely independent, to being completely invalid...it is all dementia related... she won't eat; won't take meds; had a pretty bad fall 5 weeks ago that broke her pelvis...I think that was the final blow mentally...that and the dementia

    and my wife is getting NO help from her sibs...they want nothing to do with it...except for collecting the trust at the end....they are seriously just like vultures

    Ugh...so sorry. I ended up moving my mom in with us and was fortunate to have a couple years with her before the leukemia transitioned to lymphoma. Same situation with my sisters. Never raised a finger unless to object to the terms of the trust. That part of it really stinks. Hang in there and hold on to the good memories. Praying
