They have some the size of a suitcase. Or run a aux. line with a disconnect and run the truck.

That was a wasted trip to the car audio shop !!:frusty:

For the last few months my Back up camera would show an upside down image onto my Pioneer 8400 head unit every time I shifted into reverse . Occasionally I could get the camera to work for few times then it would display upside down

Yesterday I had the store Mgr check it out and he mentioned that the camera is indeed defective or the cabling behind the head unit is loose . He told me to come back today and they'll fix it for free . I get to the audio store and the back up camera is still screwed up . The tech takes my truck back then a few minutes later the assistant Mgr tells me they can't replicate the problem and hands me my keys back

The assistant manager also tells me they don't even have a camera and needs to be ordered and that won't be until next week

Oh I get back home and put the truck in reverse and the camera image is upside down

People still hit shit with a back up camera. Right dead center. So why even have it?Don’t need it. Learn to drive

I still use my mirrors and look over my shoulder when backing up , a back up camera does make it easy to back into parking stalls and check the back of your vehicle for obstructions

I also like to Tactical park ... " back into parking spots"

Also a back up camera is nice to have at my friends house at night and making sure not to hit those big boulders or driving off the berm and into the wash

    Dammit!

Super handy for backing up to a trailer when you are working solo. But, yeah, I agree. People need to learn how to drive.

Congrats on the new car Zim and Mrs. Zim.
F-I-L has been driving Subarus for a few years now. Nice cars IMO.

    You deserved it!!!

No need for a camera when backing in to a spot.... you've already seen there's nothing there, then use your mirrors to keep you lined up.

    evening all

When we got the wife's Rav4 they were trying to sell us the extended service contract. We kept saying no. Then the guy says what are you going to do if the back up camera goes out? My wife said. I'll just look over my shoulder.
