Good morning everyone, lots to do today. Annual toxic waste pickup today, helping the neighbor with her stuff, plus ours. The Tacoma is being used as the hauler, earning its keep. Have a good one today.

I'd like to say that I'll be busy doing stuff in the house and yard work today.
Well maybe some.
But work is requiring me to come in for 6 hours 11-5.

 

Good Morning All kind of disapponted that we have a baby false alarm.DIL just couldnt go into fullblown labor. doc is sending her home but said it could be at anytime so leave your bags packed. yea kids were disappointed after 2 days in there. but brite side we kept June for 2 days. wow i fell asleep @8:30 she was still going.

 

Great morning to all. Tired for some reason. I'm done with river access's for now. Yesterday was disappointing. Meth heads, beer drinkers and ordinary idiots everywhere. Almost scared to get out of the truck...and I'm armed LOL.
Y'all be safe out there, COVID is gone, and the idiots just found out.

ive spent time in our mtns. all my life. hunting,foraging and fishing etc. always carried just for rare chance of a bad wildlife encounter. but,,now its same as you said. its 2 legged incounters, when your way back in mtns. pull off and find needles and trash even like trash from a portable meth cook, kind of scary.

Busy Saturday morning here, new pool liner was installed Thursday, now after about 36 hours of 2 hoses running it’s full (gonna be an expensive water bill this month). Pool guy will be here any minute to do some final trim work then the pump gets turned back on. Skinny dipping time! Still need to mow the grass and run to town for critter food, and it’s supposed to rain this afternoon. Again...

 

Im pretty sure around here the fire dept. will come fill them up and you can make a donation to them. at least they use to.

 

The companies that haul milk from the dairies will usually fill them also

 

Toxic dump run done, it was packed. Nice to see all that nasty stuff being disposed of properly.

 

Yeah and for the record, I'm blessed to be able to visit these places and appreciate them all. However, yesterday was the exception. And we have experienced a extreme amount of bear activity in the St. Louis area so yep, I'm a carrier...LOL

Another gray, cloudy but humid day here. I took the dog for an early morning walk. My wife just finished cutting my hair. I like it short because that's less to make me sweat. My grandson is still feeling the effects of his 2nd COVID shot, mainly fatigue and headache, although he has also had an on and off low grade fever. I told him we wil just make it a lazy day.

 

Same here. They charge a fee for a fill up as they have to use a pumper. There nearest fire hydrant is in the main road, about a mile or more away.

we are blessed as well to go the places we have. in all my years only have had 2 bad encounters with wildlife. one actually stepped on a copperhead and one a very scary bear encounter at like 10yds with a harvested deer between us. both my faught not paying attention to my surroundings. not bad for 45yrs of stomping.

 

What kinda clown bathing suit is that?
