That pic of those rifle racks reminds me of the Armory I was in charge of and worked in while in the Marines in the early 80's

At one point I had 475 M16A1's


25 M2 .50 cal machine guns

25 M60 7.62 machine guns

50 M1911A1 .45 cal pistols

50 .38 cal pistols

Sorry for your loss!! Roughly 3 weeks ago my mother in law passed the exact same way at 89. Peacefully asleep in the recliner, watching the news...the perfect way for her to go.

I think that is how we are all meant to go...

I am that guy. I love the cold....anything over 65ºF is too hot for me. When the kids played hockey, everyone else would be bundled up to the nines in mid January, and I would have on shorts, my base layer shirt, and my hockey sweater...perfectly comfortable.

It is in the low 70's today here in C-bus...i'll take it! A small respite in advance of the oncoming 2 months of 99ºF and 2000% humidity that we normally get in the summer

 

Forgot to say good morning. So....good morning. Minor BS today getting ready to go on Friday. Might go get a greasy hamburger later on and watch the sun go down.
Y'all be safe out there, and greasy burgers are high in taste and enjoyment. Because grease.

All sighted in a long time ago and fully functional, even in the fun 3rd position

That’s a big armory. It’s hard enough keeping up with our inventory of 200 M4 with suppressors, 250 9mm pistols, 75 shotguns, 75 less lethal shotguns. SWAT keeps their own inventory and I am so happy for that.

With this transfer of old 10-33 program M16s to other agencies we are out of that headache. I’ll close out this paperwork Friday after everything is handed off. Then I’m handing the armory off to someone else as I get ready to retire.

We eventually Level A packed a quarter of the weapons stored in the armory . Made it much easier to inventory and keep them clean
