yes, i havnt slept in days. worried bout them,had to pic up my wife Mon. she a vertigo attack and i had to have some pre-cancer burned off my face Tues. plan on sleeping tonite. but all has worked out

I've had enough work for the week. "Screw them if they can't take a joke - I'm only here for the fun of it anyway." Tomorrow's now become an unscheduled vacation day.

Texas too. Our humidity has its own humidity. You get baked and boiled and the same time.

 

That's the one saving grace about our heat. It's almost always <20% humidity.

I did Army Basic Training at Ft. McClellan, AL (an hour east of Birmingham) in August/September 1985. It was nasty as all hell. many days we were authorized to remove our outer BDU shirts and just go with the cotton undershirts, and unblouse our pant legs form our boots so we lessened the chances of heat exhaustion. One particularly ugly afternoon (wet bulb reading was something well >100 if I recall correctly), we were at a rifle/grenade range in loose formation, waiting for the range to be made ready for us, and we heard someone hit the ground. Turns out one of our Drill Instructors who was still wearing full uniform, with bloused pants, had passed out and fallen over. He was ok, probably a bruised shoulder/whatever from hitting the ground, but that taught all of us a lesson that extreme heat + extreme humidity was nothing to play around with.

 

And......done. Now wait for the 187* temp to cool off. Holy heat wave.

Dentist put a crown on a molar. I asked if I needed a root canal, I could feel it through the novcane.

No, you should be ok.

That was 2 months ago. Hurts like hell.

Can't get a root canal until the 25th.

I won't make.it.
