Hmm; the pill box is on Wednesday and the trash bin is out on the curb. It must be Wednesday then. Strong T-storms rolled through last evening. Sounded like small hail so I decided to stick my nose to the window to see. At that moment a bright flash and immediate boom. Hit close but not at my house, thankfully. I have a 132’ wire strung 45’ in the air between 2 trees - ham radio antenna - acting as a giant lightning rod. The bolt was close enough that I’m surprised it didn’t get whacked.

Well, good morning all,

Tropical systems are so strange, we are literally a mile or so from the rain shield of Elsa, it's training north but the line is headed slowly towards us, gives us a weird western view. No real wind yet, 15kts or so on the weather station, it's already 82* out there..

Rain will probably hit just as we head out in the next thirty minutes..
