Well, I just checked the weather app, more rain for us later today and significant amounts every day this week o_O I’ll be heading to my wife’s business to mow the grass in a little while as her side lot holds water if it looks like it will rain. Still not as bad as you guys with flooded basements. I don’t know about you, but I’m about over all the rain. It really needs to head up to @MTgirl or out west to the wildfires.

    Good Morning Folks :hattip:

Another fine morning in Northern Wisconsin. Going out for breakfast soon. Since we've been here Mary's mom has had a vacation from doing any cooking, which is good.
Grandson got stung by a wasp yesterday. It got him in the ankle. He did good.

Enjoy your day and stay dry.

I'm with you, wish we could blow the clouds / rain out that way for a while to get them some relief

    Morning all

I think when he saw how much attention he was getting he cried more. Great grand man made up a homemade sav for the sting. In a few minutes he was running around playing with the John Deere toys we got him.

They are black on top, and it sometimes fades a little as they ripen, but it doesn't go away. It actually makes it a little more difficult to decide if they are ripe enough to pick because you have to look underneath to see if they are reddening. They taste really good, not much different than a regular cherry tomato.

I've had some light TS come past my house, but I've only gotten .07" of rain in the last 24hrs.

Wow, that interior is cherry, and with only 43k on the OD the frame probably isn't in bad shape. Crusin to Nashville in that would be great until I got to the parking lot.

Zim, is that lake on public land -- please be careful and get permission if it is a private lake. People in Mo. can be "touchy" when you are trespassing on private property around here.

Good morning everyone. Quiet this weekend but getting some silly stuff done. Might go for a ride today. I got the itch.
Y'all be safe out there, single lane covered bridges are dangerous but very cool.

Mark all of these lakes are in State Conservation Areas. I'm finding these all over the place. This one is in your neighborhood too. It's really called Painted Rock Conservation area. How have you been. Have not seen you around lately.

You think it is "rural here in mid-Mo , try south central Mo down near the park called "Johnson Shut-ins" Thats RURAL. Another area is way down in SW Mo -down around Pineville (McDonald county -where the Beverly Hillbillies came from) . With my last job, I was in every county seat (Sheriff's office) in Mo . I connected/maintained data circuits for for their law enforcement. I know the state very well -it has such diversity when it comes to landscape. From flat as a board to hills and roads where you can see your taillights following you!

Great -- I definitely know Painted Rock park -- just down the road a bit from Folk Mo. and Westphalia Mo. My wife of 52 years is from that area, and we still own a small bit of land down there.
Next time you get to Painted Rock make sure you walk the entire trail with its overlooks high above the Osage river. It is as good (for MO.) as it gets for leaf peeping in the fall.
Years ago when Mo Conservation was developing that park they would let people cut firewood on the areas they were clearing. We, FIL and self, did just that. I think the land was an old hunting ground owned by some Jefferson City "richies" -then later donated to the State.
I may be wrong on this but seems that is what I heard or read.

Yup I think that's correct. Very nice place and we're headed back there to camp this fall. Only one spot at the lake but no one was there when we visited last week. We shouldn't have a problem.
