was supposed to go to the office today. got up, showered, PUT ON PANTS... like, real pants not stretchy ones... and then....

close. was all set to go to the office, thought i'd better make one more pit stop before i head out the door and my toilet burbled a little then the water started coming UP not down.

    FUCK

turned off the supply line before she went over the rim. waited. nothing happened, not going down.

    double FUCK

look across the street to see if my neighbor is still home - he works for a plumbing outfit and I was hoping to borrow a plunger - work trucks gone

    triple FUCK

texted my boss, told him I'm missing the meeting. got more important things to do.

ran to the hardware store, bought a plunger, came home, got the toilet to sort itself out.

and i put pants on for no reason today. sigh
 I see you didn't learn your lesson last time.

    Thin ice, pal. Thin. Ice.

How can you not have a plunger?! Must be a gluten-free by-product.

Having a nice downpour. So I'm getting stuff done in the garage. Changed oil and filter in the rider. Sweep the floor on the side the wife parks. Sure is dirty. My side can wait. Weatherman says a possibility of hail. Truck stays inside.

Looks real nice. Have the younglings shine her up. You should just sit back with a glass of lemonade.

Ugh ... sorry. What have you done to piss off the plumbing gods? Always in 3s...what could be next?

Put on stretchy pants and have some wine. It's 5PM in England ... close enough.

I thought for sure that the TBM was salvageable as it looked like such a soft water landing when she crashed

    Very nice looking aircraft

Scary! I'd be willing to bet that the cause is land/sand subsiding underneath and the peers/supports didn't go deep enough to hold it up.

google maps even has a pin for it... and there's an identical looking building on the next block to the north! i know hte news said they evacuated everyone in the collapsed building, wonder if they also evacuated everyone in the neighboring building as a precaution?
