hi all hope all of you are safe. us florida peeps are cooking down here.

 

I'm feeling for the folks in N.O. again The price gougers have already jacked up the price of gas around me by 1/4 of a dollar, we're gonna get the tail of it on Wednesday/Thursday but the weather geeks are already screaming about tropical storm strength winds and rains. I was gonna start putting on the metal roof for the firewood shed today but me tinks I will will wait until Friday..

Glad to hear that MTgirl got her camp fire and stars before camping season ended.

Good evening everybody. The rain has finally stopped here for now. Been a steady rain all day with several hard downpours throughout the day. Get ready for it Chuck and Mike.

New Orleans is going to be hurting for a while, they lost one of the main electrical transmission line towers that feed the city. The entire tower collapsed into the Mississippi River, the wreckage will also be a shipping navigation hazard until they can get the channel cleared. They aren’t sure how long it will take to replace the tower and get new lines strung up.

, the rain started here around 4 pm. I do live on a bit of a hill so I shouldn't get swamped. But I have been trapped before when the creek overflowed, creating a bit of moat around my hill. With that in mind, I went to Kroger and stocked up on groceries and fuel this afternoon. Hopefully, any siege won't last too long, as I have plans to be in Niceville for Labor Day.

 

That hood is really flimsy. I think it's meant to be disposable or something...

 

Out of here in the morning to the largest spring in the State. 238 million gallons a day from this one. (California needs this one) Can't wait. Current temp is 75*. It's time to roll.
