We are doing a clear the shelter event tomorrow along with a free food giveaway. Hopefully we have a good turnout so I don’t have to unload this back in my shop :fingerscrossed:

Missoula is a hippie town. And their stores (plural) are better staffed than Bozeman's one store. Seriously.... all the main aisles are clogged with pallets all the time. Pretty sure its a violation of the fire code since you can't evac out a straight line unless you can vault over an eight foot tall pallet of whatever. They're so short staffed that not only can they not stock the shelves but the only check out option is self - no cashiers in sight.

I'm not 100% sure what all was stationed at the Pendleton air wing when I was there, but there never seemed to be a shortage of 46's, 53's, Huey looking things and Cobras. I like me some Cobras... We'd see the Ospreys out at the stumps for the CAX's and occasionally an AC-130 would blow up some stuff with the big machine gun along with the A-10's

MY brother lives in Jacksonville, got out of the navy after 12 years. It's fun to go to JAX NAS and watch some stuff take off.

In truth, the CG actually goes a lot of places you would not expect to find them. We had CG customs at JBB in Iraq. Miles and miles of desert, hardly an ounce of water not in a bottle, but the CG was there to save us from plundering everything not tied down.

Our Walmart was 24 - 7 before COVID. Now, it is open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., not that I ever did a midnight run. LOL. I went to my Walmart yesterday and there were plenty of empty shelves. It's like stepping back in time. I mainly use Amazon, Bezos or not, because I have better selection, better price and most things are here within 2 days. Also, I don't have to deal with fools like the one yesterday who was blocking the self checkout registers until his woman rolled up with their cart about 2 minutes after he started blocking access, empty handed. I guess he was the advance scout.:censored:

I was Marine Corps for 4 years before I saw the light and went to the CG.

Caught a wonderful deployment in the Marines to a place called Beruit and then did the usual year on Okinawa with the associated west pac floats. Then I got out and joined the CG reserves to be safe. Lol. I ended up with 3 deployments to the Middle East with the CG in a Port Security Unit, basically an anti-terrorism/anti piracy small boat unit. Like Mike said, the CG does get around.

    Good morning people!
Getting ready to greet the masses we normally do free food Friday about twice a month and occasionally I have trouble getting into the parking lot at the shelter. People have been asking the girls if we could do it on Saturday instead so expecting a madhouse today. Or local Walmart distribution hooks us up with busted bags and sometimes like today pallets of Un damaged food. Times have been tough for some of our community and the animals are the first to suffer. All the shelters around are full the rescues are full but we do what we can. Our team hit the fund raising trail pretty hard recently and we have a new transport van on order. Lspca can throw in free transport as incentive to other rescues to pull from our shelter. Hopefully it will help and I can stop renting vans.
