Dentist appointment today - make up for the one I had to cancel a few weeks back when the highway was closed and I had to detour.
Getting a crown. Wasn't sure what to expect but it all went pretty smoothly. Novocain is wearing off now. Had to stop and take some ibuprofen on the drive to camp. Sketti for dinner, I'm afraid to chew right now.

Yeah, that’s not fun. Did they put in a temporary or do the whole thing? I had one done a healthy 5 years ago and it took a few weeks for the tooth to stop being sensitive to hot and cold.

A lot of that is just good ole Tennessee and it's helped by a great country music following. You're in the right place Chuck.

Just a temp, I go back on 11/1 for the real one
This tooth has been a problem for years. Just nothing else to do for it.
It had a cavity, got a filling. Got braces, got another cavity. Couldn't really fix the cavity due to the braces, they were in the way.
    Tooth cracked.
Been losing small chunks the last couple years. Lost a big chunk in August.
Biting down hurts a bit right now. Hoping it just needs a few days to calm down. Planned soft foods for my meals all weekend just in case.
no. Gotta be on a boat to fish here. But there are no boats this time of year. Wish it had that mirror image look in the summer too!

one of my favorite spots in the whole state!

I have to blast straight through going with the dog and then I ramble on the way back. I just located my park pass about 20 minutes ago. You have to pay to enter Shenandoah don’t you? Looks like passage creek has a road paralleling it for miles ft valley rd. Is that in your area?

Passage Creek isn't in Shenandoah national park(aka Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway). You won't need a pass, nor will you have to pay. Just need a VA fishing permit with national forest stamp and trout stamp. It's in the George Washington national forest.
Yes, Fort Valley road pretty much runs the length of Passage Creek, but they only stock the first couple of miles of the north end, in the national forest. South of that is all privately owned land. My parents still live in Fort Valley. I live in Front Royal a few miles away.
When you get on Fort Valley road from rt. 55, the very first time you see Passage Creek on your left, just downstream of the rock wall, is a deep pool( top circle on map)that is usually money! You'll have to go slightly past it to park on the right and walk back to it. Lower circled section of map is all very good as well

It is doing great we had one scare early on where she quit eating it turned out she was passing some bones. They said that first night X-ray was showing a carcass of some kind in her stomach ever since then she’s been eating and learning to be a normal dog. She is with one of our fosters and she sends the wife pictures of tish and her other two dogs piled on top of her on the couch.

    Good morning folks!
Getting the kinks worked out and getting ready for a little ride this morning. I’m picking up the girl at the shelter at 6:50 not sure what her story is we never know the whole story. But part of her lip is missing your first thought is usually bait dog but we don’t know for sure. I’ll snap a few breaking out of the shelter shots and we will be on our way. Her life gets better today!!

    Good morning friends.

Took today off from work. I’m going to help my sister pack up her house as the movers come a week from Monday.

The temp doesn’t have much strength so it may ache a bit. I’m sure the DDS told you to chew on the other side.

My lower back teeth cracked from clenching the jaw. Crown on one, pulled the last one that was next to it and am on a watch for the other side. I have to use a night guard religiously or else I get a toothache.

Cavities? Pfft… Best thing they ever did was use epoxy instead of metal fillings. I no longer rocket head first to the bottom of the pool when I jump in…
