Beautiful fall day here

Watched it last night at work.

 

I have only ever driven by the Rio Grande farm and store. wierd that i have never stopped to eat at #1. That is cool that he found that job right out of college. Back then, it was a great, old school place to work for. Your cousin might have kown the drummer of my current metal band...he also graduated from OSU AG at about that time.

I worked in store #3 up by the Continent in C-bus. 2 of the waitresses there were original employees from the first place down south, and it was cool to hear them talk about the whole start up of that company. Bob would come up at Christmas to hand each of us our Christmas bonus checks and thank us. He would jump right in and cook, or bus tables, or help in the back if we were busy. He was also very encouraging of all of us teens who were looking to go to college after HS.

It is weird how different the company became after he died...especially in the last 10 years...

 

I watched part duex yesterday.. I respect those guys for putting in so much effort to get that old 'Suki out of the woods and for the damage the Banana endured along the way. As if sitting in the woods for 40 years wasn't bad enough, the last part of the 'recovery' must have really taken a tool on the old rig.. I just cringed at them saying the 'hack rats' was going to get it running.

 

Hopefully California officials such as the BLM didn't watch the video of the Suki imitating a Submarine during that deep water crossing in the creek

 

Afternoon nite shift ughh. our Yankee buddys up North East be careful. front turning into a NorEastener. we didnt get much. wind today behind it 25-35 sustained winds.
