Grass cut for the last time today. It was chilly, having a real feel temp in the mid 30s when I started. Mowers are cleaned and the trickle chargers have been placed on them until next Spring. Now for the shoveling. LOL.

I think your ready Mike, now ya gotta gas the fleet up.$$ I by the expensive non ethanol gas for my stuff, that reminds me, 5,5 gallon gas cans need filling. The equipment runs so much better , less problems with sitting for long periods.

 

Yea I know. I have 3 gal and I use that for long term storage. I rotate my fuel stock every 30 days.
There is a difference in performance for sure. I just sold a old gen and told him ethanol free only or you will be constantly readjusting the carb for every run. Buyer beware lol

 

Evening folks, nice cold fall afternoon. It was a shit show on the way in this morning. The salt trucks were out in town, but the country roads were slick.

I learned this over the past winter. The riding lawn mower had a 1/2 tank of fuel when I did the last cut in the late fall. I had every intention of starting it periodically through the winter, but it never happened. Come spring time I fully expected to need to charge the battery and flush the fuel system but I thought that I'd try anyway, and to my surprise the bugger fired right up! I will only use the ethanol free gas in the lawn mowers, it's worth the extra $$ at the pump to not have any headaches from sitting for a while.

 

I believe it needs rings

 

But it smells good!!
