Hi, I hope all is well with everyone. I left Washington this morning, finally Eastbound and down, be home next week. I think Gracie will be pleased to be home!

 

I just finished up a three month project. In an earlier post I bought my late mother's 1998 Tacoma and did quite a bit of work to it. I just returned from a test drive and let me tell you that this 2.7 3RZ FE little 4 cylinder has more power than my 2007 2TR FE any day of the week. In the picture she sits next to my 2020 Tacoma. This 1998 Tacoma 4X4 SR5 with the manual hubs is a keeper.

Body shop called , they won't have my truck ready until tomorrow evening

 

Prevening everyone, another decent fall day in the Mittin State , I’m not gonna like the “ fall back “ time change coming up, I like the “spring forward “ part, payback time now.

 

I always tell the shop, no worries, take your time. Unforeseen stuff comes up, I am usually sympathetic. Just do it right!

 

There is a long story behind this truck. I purchased this from family. I have conducted some extensive work. Replaced the rear axle seals and bearings. Removed 1.5 quarts of water from the rear differential and cleaned it up. New brakes all the way around. Rebuilt the P/side front hub. Rebuilt the engine and did the balance shaft delete, egr delete. Replaced the starter and battery. The list could go on.

 

Back ordered parts , rear bumper and bumper brackets

 

Take a spotter with you Chuck. You can handle this and if you can't find one, I'll drive down and handle your six.
