    Good evening everybody.

It was a very productive day with the Division of Forestry Historian guy. The north end of our county was a big timber producing area in the late 1800s up to the 1920s. There were timber railroads and mill towns scattered throughout what is now state forest land. He was able to give me information and possible locations for some of the local history sites I know about. I’ll be exploring up there this winter to see if I can find any remains. He said to give him a call after deer season and he take me to some of the places he knows about too.

I'll have to dig it up but I found a site a while ago while I was searching for old mining and ghost town stuff up here that had map archives. Can't remember if it had stuff across the US or just in the NW states. Old FS maps and stuff.
Also, download the standalone version of google earth and use the timeline/rollback freature to get old aerial surveys. Some of the images are pretty grainy but it can help to see a grainy photo with no trees or small trees vs a full grown forest that blocks out all terrain and roads

My truck is running awesome , just dealing with accident damage from being rear ended at a stoplight a few weeks ago . The Camaro is also running awesome as always
