Hi fellows- I'm of age to join this group of experienced bunch. I'm in central valley CA. Picked up my TRD OFF Road early this month. List of mods is under way; Billstein 5100's on the work bench for starters and more on the way. Will report back with progress later.

    Happy Holidays.

you bought them from Robert, who had the Trek dealership up until the 90's when they pulled it from him and gave it to Bikebeat. Nice guy, he closed up the shop a few years back. I ride a stretch of the parkway fairly often as it is part of a loop we do, but absolutely hate the pavement. On my roadbike the exposed aggregate concrete rattles my teeth and makes my backside want to be done quickly.

Lots more riding opportunities for riding now with the Capitol to Capitol trail, a paved separated pathway that parallels route 5 all the way from Jamestown to Richmond. I don't mind riding the shoulder with moderate traffic, but most folks are nervous doing it so the separated path allows them more riding opportunity.

Good afternoon hope everyone is having a great one. I can't believe i missed the Moose this morning :( Sounds like things are good Rob.

That would be West BY GOD Virginia good sir! Or so everyone I have met from there has told me :D
Squish the Fish! Although that sweat shirt is long gone and the Bills and Fish aren't much threat to each other these days. Wait a minute....

Last day of deer season today. This guy was 20 yards away from the house maybe I should start cutting shooting lanes through the property.

    Crap.

My online research has found that these breather valves ALWAY rust shut and prevent the diff from breathing during heat expansion. Hence the frequent blown diff axle seals. Too bad these are press in. If they were screw in, there are all kinds of possibilities.
Any suggestions on how to keep the breather valve from sealing the diff?
