    Patience, yes. But it keeps me occupied when I have to stay home. Kinda therapeutic too. Helps to get my head focused on one task, forget about whatever stress is happening elsewhere
    Progress so far. Everything is cut. About 60% done now. Should wrap it up tomorrow

    its will be about 4'x6'. i usually stick with crib/lap sized quilts. anything bigger than that gets a little unruly.
    probably going to throw this one in the camper when its done. perfect size for afternoon naps

    yeah, they get heavy when they are big...I have one that mom made back when I was a kid that is probably at least the size of a queen size bed. It is heavy, in that comfortable way. I guess it had a family historical design from our German relatives in Pennsylvania. I need to dig it out of storage again.

    I wish, but sometimes it's got to go. When I have that kind of slushy snow on my deck, a few inches can keep you from opening the door. I shovel the walkways so that a delivery guy doesn't fall. I will sometimes let the driveway go, but this is the type of snow that will pack as it is run over and with some sun turns to ice. My grandson has to walk the drive to get to and from his school bus, so I at least have to shovel him a path. Doing the whole drive? That can be a heart attack challenge if done nonstop, with that kind of heavy snow.

    My mom was a seamstress and taught me how to sew also. I’ve made clothes and even made tents, sleeping bags, and backpacks when my son was in Boy Scouts. I’ve never tried to do needlepoint or quilting. I don’t think I would have the patience for any of that

    He helps with the deck and sidewalk. I have a drive that is about 45 feet long and maybe 20 feet wide in some spots. If it snows good overnight, it can take an hour to an hour and half to do, nonstop. That's too much for him to do before school.
