Use to take a vw bug hood and tie a rope to it behind a boat.
    Well, draw your own conclusions..

I'm in Farmington Hills about 8 miles south of Waterford. I managed our Honda parts dept. 1/2 mile from Waterford for a few years. Now I'm back in Southfield at our Toyota dealer again.

We did the same thing. Hell I got suspended from elementary school because me and two friends shagged a ride to school on the big hooks behind the school bus! We were two blocks too close to ride the bus so we thought it was fair...

There was a gravel pit that we would sneak into to swim. There were spots where you could dive in, but if you missed the spot, well you get the picture. Great fun.

I grew up in south-east Los Angeles. My best friend and I got big into skateboarding in the early and mid 70's. We rode our boards every-freakin-where. School, church,...... Sometimes one of us rode our bike and pulled the other along behind. Sometimes we would catch a car bumper and both get towed for a block or two. When your wheel catches the smallest little pebble or other piece of debris in the road........ the skateboard stops INSTANTLY... and you don't. Talk about banged up and bleeding...:rofl::rofl:

Oh, and this was waaaay before pads, helmets and all that other girly-man protective bullshit. Back in the day, we died like men, damnit!!

I nearly took out a dock with my brother-in-law one time with a ski biscuit and a long rope. He’s not wrapped too tight and stayed on for the entire ride and I probably had a few too many if the wife would have known I wasn’t sure myself he was going to miss it she would have killed both of us.
