The water is back on, bad check valve , lost prime. Good news, bad news is the point is plugged but still sucking water through, 50%. Time for a repoint ,2”, or new 5” , two different vanes of water, 35’, 130’, I’m currently at 35’. Time to start saving up.

This “easy living “ ain’t that easy some days.

 

Fired up the generator I’m thinking it’s going to be a little bit on the power company this whole area is out

 

We lose power on warm sunny days, ice storm would knock it out for a week

 

The power is back on but I believe I will be getting reacquainted with the husqvarna after the thaw.

 

Nobody drugged my wine last night.


So last weekend I swept the leaves off the driveway. The California scrub oaks are evergreen. Which means they drop leaves year round. I filled up a 50 gallon bin.

This is repeated every single week.

Just did it again and the driveway already is covered with leaves.

Chuck, I have steel or metal shovels. They are not good on the deck and can even scrape up sidewalks. I prefer this heavy plastic one myself. If yours doesn't perform as expected, try one like this.

 

Plastic shovel for deck, metal/plastic for front of house, old metal/plastic for back of garage, aluminum scoop shovel for when shit gets deep, steel square spade for truck. Winter can be a pain in the ass.

Edit: snow blower does the majority of the work.

 

Fix? No.

Stop the leak? Maybe.

Realize I'm going to have to spend lots of money? Yes.


My wife wants a gabled roof. Not sure if the shed can handle the weight.
