Adjustable billies will get you about 2.7 max in front. Unless you have a aftermarket steel bumper, you probably won't need 600# springs.
I have a large steel bumper and winch, so I have 700# springs.

Wet conditions are bad with steps. Shins will get banged...ask me how I know.

I had thought about that last year, just put it off thinking those factory springs sets would probably do the same thing in the near future, then I'd be aggravated about spending the initial $325 ya know!! I want to do it once, since I'm doing the work myself and not have to do it again in this lifetime..

In comparison, what are the factory springs #'age... I don't have a steel bumper, I did eventually want the winch setup that goes in the black plastic insert in the front, but not the whole bumper. I'd like the winch for issues around the house here..

Just don't forget that the higher you clip the billy's then more difficult it is to get aligned properly without then investing in a new set of control arms.

Not sure. If you got 600#, there wouldn't be an issue. If you are using a winch around the house, get a hitch mounted on the front and mount the winch on a plate that slides in on the hitch, the you can mount it front or back.

I lifted my 13 to get the leaf pack that came with the old man emu set up because hitting the bump stop drove me nuts with not much of a load. Looking back I wish I would have just air bagged it. I never could get the front end just right and I had the aftermarket control arms. And maybe putting the stock arms back on might have been the ticket to stop it from wearing my tires but I got fed up before I tried it.

When the kid got his license, first car he wanted and found was a 76' Caddy Coupe DeVille.
He strapped a cabbage patch doll to the front heavy solid chrome bolted front grille.
Anyone seeing that in their rear view got the hell out of the way.

I have amp research steps and both me and my wife absolutely love them. Mine are the old style so they are a little larger than the new low profile design. Here are a couple pictures open and closed for reference.

Always liked the look and design. Can't put anything on my truck, I trip over air.

I saw a set of the color matched on a 3rd Gen, Super White up and down they looked awesome, they tucked in more that you almost could tell they were there when up. My Son has a set on his SuperDuty F-350 all jacked up with those damn rubber band 24In wheels, they look really good there..

Mark are those 60 inch long? Sharp ride!

'need' is a bit grey. My understanding is you can get close with the stockers, but you will still be a bit out. On my 09 I had the billy's set on the first clip, .85, to get back to a stock rake after the TSB springs were put on which gave me about .75 in the back. Getting to a 0/0/3.0 preferred alignment setting was very difficult with even that low lift. As I recall all they could get was 0/.5/2.5

Im running @2” lift with adj. bilstiens up front and 3leaf add a leaf in the back. and SCS F5 rims to get my tires out just a tad.had to go to clamshell bushing on front driver side pumpkin and dropped the carrier bearing alittle for the 2 piece drive shaft..decent setup unless you truley do off roading then may want a more rugged setup.E16E4747-3387-45C2-8E2F-4B96794146CF.jpg

I tell ya, it's just a kick to the nuts when you see your old job posted on the corporate website, especially after being told that the job was never coming back.
