This thread sputters often, lol......................OK, hop on this and ride 35 miles in 95 degree heat with 70% humidity.

No don't, it sucked bad. Numb feet from new shoes and clip-ins, seat not expensive enough so it bites after 20 miles or so, no performance ride meals beforehand, no cytomax for ride & just about out of water for last 7 miles which meant sipping instead of gulping like was needed and then the relentless effin sun.......yeah I feel over fifty, lol. Saturday pool action with the grandbaby was much more refreshing and enjoyable.....but I needed the exercise I got on Sunday, didn't die so I must be stronger, lol.

I take a 5 hour ride on this every weekend. Thankfully, it has a beverage holder.

My bike has a beverage holder (camelbak 70oz or 100oz and frame mounted holders) but much more important is that your ride has shade that follows you, lol. That's what I need. :D

Hi everyone; I didn't see this Thread and didn't pull it up in a seacrh so I started another. Hope I can get the Mods to delete it for me.
Also glad I found this after a memeber pointed me in the right direction and thanks for that. Humm was that my first senior moment???
Glad to see I'm not the only one Middle aged that likes driving a fun Toyota Tacoma.
There a blast this is my second one. The first was a first Gen 1995 Extracab SR5. I put 180000 miles on it before selling it and it's still running good and looking good as well.
Looking forward to driving my new Accesscab as long; God willing.
Also look forward to sharing with you all.
Safe driving and see you around

I try to get out on the bike 3-4 times a week. Usually get in somewhere around 25-30 miles when I get out. I just got back into biking after a 20 year layoff, and I have lost 80 lbs. Feel better than I did when I was 35!

I edited it:eek:, but I went to clipless a few weeks back and I fell a couple of times coming to a stop. Two cars were coming the first time, both slowed down and I grinned and gave a thumbs up. Pretty embarassing. Until a few weeks ago, I had never fallen off a bike.

I have a coupla times too, lol. New trick. Never had them on mt bikes and broke down and built the road bike a few yrs back for organized road rides instead of riding a mt bike on road rides. The ones I have are the egg beater kind and they have 4 sides to break in. Oh, I have fallen, flipped, slid and become seperated with the mt bikes every way possible just like every rider has or will, no shame in it, lol........

Grats on the weight loss. I am down 10 (40 to go) and have a summer filled with backpacking and riding. Looking forward to being in shape again. Although round is a shape....
