I wear the Carolinas at work. different styles hurt my feet. was looking into the redwings for my next pair. glued soles on the Carolinas dont bother me as the boot gets oil and grease and and nasty so stitching on new soles dont make sense for me. have been wearing a airplus work insole in mine. it helps

 

Good afternoon all you oldies but goodies. We had snow and rain with temps in the 30s and low 40s Saturday but yesterday it was sunny and 65 all day. We joke here that if you don't like the weather here in Michigan....just wait a minute, it will change. I finally got a chance to do some work out on the deck and in the yard yesterday. My fish survived yet another winter in my little garden pond I built into my deck. I caught some minnows and chubs in the creek in my yard and threw them into my 100 gallon pond over 5 years ago. One creek chub grew from 3 inches to over 9 inches and has had babies at least twice in the pond. She's been in there for over 5 years now without getting eaten by the raccoons on blue herons. I just leave the waterfall running all winter and it keeps the water from freezing solid.

I recently bought a pair of Redwing, 8" Supersole 2.0 boots. They are not lightweight but they are ridiculously comfortable to wear all day. They gave me a 30 day "love em or leave em" warranty so I wore them all day, every day for a full month. I worried I would be disappointed with that $350 price tag but I couldn't be happier with them! I hope to get at least 10 years out of these. They required no break-in time at all.
