    Good morning everybody. Weatherman says rain again. I’ve had about enough of it, I’m getting moldy.

    Holy farkling farklenuts, Batman! :eek:

    I had an average sense of balance before my spinal cord injury 15 years ago. Now...... I'm doing good to walk across my yard without stumbling over air and falling down :bananadead:

    I wish I had that kind of balance!

    Pace yourself, you need to slow down and enjoy the scenery.
    We're always glad to see your pics!
    That's usually a good thing!

    The county is opening a new Veterans community center today. I think I'm going to go check it out.

    That's a horrible idea. What time?
    Turned out that walking away for a minute was the better choice. All of our "desks" are attached in a cube farm. But we will be having a discussion about consistency in shared responsibilities today. And probably again next week, and the week after, and you get the idea.

    Fun day so far...it's 0830 here.

    I have next week off but I am supposed to be in Northern cal tonight, about 500 miles away.

    So I thought I would ask for a day off. Here's what happened;

    Mandatory meeting Wed. That turned out to be a meet and greet. The 3 people working in my group said forget it, we have work to do. So we passed. Turns out someone had Corona at the meeting, and gave it to a few people. That wiped out a chunk of workers. 2 people are on vacation this week and one person on my group (with more tenure) took the day off. That left 2 of us. Now my workmate called me and his van broke down.

    So I am the only one working.

    The girl that works for me sometimes also dog watches occasionally. She makes pretty good money doing that. I was suprised. And she's building up a decent client list. She just turned 15 so she doesn't need a fulltime income but with the occasional dogsitting gig she's also the part-time receptionist for a dog groomer and she cashiers for me during the busy part of my season.

    The really fun part of this is that he is supposed to be trainer. One week we do it this way, the next a different way. And our sup's have already discussed the inconsistencies. When I can move to a new team, it will be a good day.

    My next neighbors and us sometimes swap dog sitting. But we're the kind of neighbors who have keys to each others houses which has worked when there's an occasional emergency.
