I got to speak at the city council meeting while ago. My house/property is at the end of a dead end road. The property beyond it is a drainage easement. Beyond that, a church parking lot. The church wants to connect to our street for a back entrance...which would then turn into a public cut thru. City council sees it my way for now. Church has a fair bit of influence.

    We shall see..

Just got back home and and I'm friggin tired !!! , I've been at the VA since 1045hrs this morning . Between the visit with the Surgeon and getting my Pre Op tests done . It seemed like it took forever just to get my EKG test completed

Only thing that I'm bummed out over is I'll be in the Hospital on my Birthday !!!

And DONE. With round one. 50 days, 13 States, 10 Camps and about 2,300 miles I think. At the DIL house assessing the needed issues like dumping crap we don't use, want, hate. Some minor repairs and improvements and back on the road on the 21st to Kansas City. Who knows after that. Maybe North to Nebraska and on to the Bad Lands.
Here's some pictures from the road. If I duplicate one let the MOD know and scold me. LMAO
    Be safe out there.

Time flies when you're having fun. It doesn't seem like it has been 50 days already.

I still think you need to slow down and smell the roses for a little bit longer at each stop. :boink:

Best wishes with that. I'll probably be there someday. My wife says sooner, I say later. I read they last about 15 years. I only want to do it once, like marriage.

I've been interested in doing that, but I'm not yet convinced it is financially feasible/cost-effective enough.

Agreed, but this schedule was preplanned by Sister and we had to be places at a certain time. The rest was planned by us to meet some Doctor appointments here in St. Louis and then on to another preplanned reunion in Kansas City. So it's close to "over" for all this and then we'll slow down and see some sites. Nothing more I would like to do is stay and hike around these beautiful places. I have a endless camera storage waiting to be used. LOL

Well, we all look forward to seeing the pictures. I certainly can't afford to live like that right now, so I just have to content myself with living vicariously through your camera lens.

As of Friday the Federal tax break is 30%
Interest rate is .99%. The company (sun power) uses the better panels, made in North America. The ugh is because I have to go through the permitting crap again with the city.

If you are allowed to share it, I'd be curious to know the total cost once they are installed. I see advertisements for credits and tax breaks, "little or no money to install" BS ads. I have room for enough solar panels I could probably generate enough power to sell it back to the power company with the little power I use by myself. But I'm unwilling to play clickbait for something I think is probably outside the range of my bank account.
