My old man used to say he had been in the doghouse so long he didn’t know weather to shake a man’s hand or smell his ass!

Verizion plays the same stupid games, trust me. I have one of their wi-fi hotspot devices for my home interwebz. I constantly get bombarded with the offers to "upgrade" to their new 5G service, and when I refuse the cell reception gets worse to the hotspot. I turned off the wifi on my phone and just pulled in the same cell signal that the hotspot pulls in, 4-5 bars of signal to the old Galaxy S5, 1-2 bars for the hotspot receiver.. tell me they don't play games.

That's why YOU pick out the sofa... make it nice and comfy. It's like camping in your own living room. My ex thought she was getting the upper hand when I slept on the sofa. Bitch, please... I'd stay there until she apologized. No listening to snoring, no fighting over the covers, no complaining ( or getting sprayed with lysol ) when I farted under the covers..

    Funny story.

Years ago, I noticed my wife's hairdryer cord was frayed and the dryer was not doing well, so I bought her a nice new one for her birthday. (We normally don't exchange gifts)

She was pissed, saw it as a horrible gift to give a woman.

    Ok

This year, she gave me a leaf blower.

Told me it was a great gift.

So... a few years back, okay, maybe more than a few years at this point... we decided we would buy our own birthday gifts instead of buying for each other. (We "exchange" birthday gifts but not Christmas gifts - not sure why - it was just sort of always that way.)

In the last few years, my wife has bought herself one of those fancy Dyson vacuums... some sort of kitchen stand mixer... a complicated (I'm not allowed to use it because I will ruin it) clothes iron/steamer/does a bunch of other stuff "thing".... Now, if I had bought those exact gifts for her, holy heck would have rained down on my head because I'm expecting her to clean more, cook / bake more, and still not sure what the fancy iron does, but I'm sure if it came from me it would be something about doing more laundry. But... if she buys them for herself, they are the best gifts possible. I know there is no logic and one can't apply "if a then b" logic, or any type of logic to situations like this, but it still makes my head hurt!
