Happy Birthday @Tacman19. hope it was a good day

 

Had a little East Coast 50+ picnic yesterday. Always a good time. way too much food

 

Morning. Wife came home sick on Friday. Was down all day yesterday. Still running a fever. Textbook Covid symptoms but test is negative. She is a nurse. I imagine her immunity is stronger than most. This will be the 3rd time in 2 years I have had to live downstairs, oh well guess it’s better than being in the doghouse. Have a great day. Stay Well…Stay Safe

 

My weekend companions, time to get the meters running.

 

When my wife was so sick that she was having trouble breathing I took her to the e.r. They did a COVID quick test and diagnosed her with pneumonia, which often follows a long, bad bout of COVID. A few days later, I go to a convenient care. they do the full 2 day COVID test and I come back positive. Moral of the story? Those quick tests are only about 70% accurate according to my grandson.

 

We already had our dinner planed: a pork roast with cabbage and onion. I use the excess juice from the dill pickles we buy to flavor it.

 

I always go by the old adage " leaves of 3, leave it be". It works 90% of the time.

Your buddy is just warming it up for you.

 

Is it part of the plant with the red berries? Then no. Here is poison ivy. Poison oak has the 3 jagged top but no berries either.

 

All summer I wondered where the yellow jackets are, not that I missed them. LOL. Last time I cut the grass I found them hiding under the cacti. They stirred but did not get me.

 

Fish around the roadbed. I have a place on Wilson creek in NC that has a slab of roadbed from a washed out bridge that I have slayed them on a couple times.

 

Went to eat and it required two trips to pull it off!
Now the rescue has another cat.

 

And the essential transport supplies came in!!

 

That’s quite the group assembled in one area..

 

I’m waiting for the humidity to go away before I can epoxy my lure.
Still need to see if I can shake down some #3 split rings and 1/0 in-line hooks.
Going to switch a few lures over to single hook instead of treble.

 

I need to pick up some rings and singles to convert some rooster tails. You can’t find them down here anymore that don’t come treble. I have a couple that I use checking out new places when It’s late in the day and I don’t want to suit up and put the fly rod together. And I’m getting concerned I’m going to loose them before I match the color

On line yes but want to match size before I purchase.
Don’t know if I can.

 

I always look anyway but pretty much the only way to find anything anymore is on line.

 

And Nobody even called the LEOs on us. LOL. actually a very laid back good time. looking for you to show up sometime! I take it you reconize a few..
