Thanks for the patch, Andy. It's nice to be included even though I mostly lurk here.

I had an inspection done in late June. Front brakes were done, new calipers, rotors were ok. Had the brake warning light come and found I was low on brake fluid. Checked underneath and both front calipers are soaking wet. It's never had a problem in the last 131,000 miles.
Mechanic who did the work 3 months ago said he'd try to squeeze it in today. He's a pretty good guy, I hope he can.
Let's see what he tries to charge me.

Good Morning. Hey! Who flipped the dimmer switch off. 2 days ago I was blinded by the rising sun going to work and the setting sun coming home. Now I’m driving both ways in the dark. This is normally a much more gradual process. Oh…And who turned down the thermostat?

What the hell makes the real estate so expensive around you? I would have expected acreage with those kinds of prices. Don't get me wrong, those are all nice looking houses and a killer view
(maybe that's my answer?) but it's not like those were all custom spec'd/built houses.

It’s gusty enough to move this van around today you sorta get accustomed to it but it’s always fun in a crowd.

Yeah, I agree, that does seem insane. I can't say I'm familiar with that town, so I don't know if too many Californians have been moving there with wheelbarrow loads of cash and the locals are capitalizing on that....?

My wife and I moved to southeastern KY from northern CA in August (last month), and the home prices here are damn near what they were in CA. Except, that here, the vast majority are under $500K. Even in the rural area of NorCal we left, you can't get much under $500K. We ended up paying a good bit more for the place we are in process of buying here in KY that what we are selling our place in CA for, but that was a manufactured home, only 1 acre, and a smaller house, and no garage. KY house is larger, frame built, 2+ acres, established mature orchard and grape vines, above ground pool, wrap around deck, and a monster 4 door metal garage/work shop. Plus this KY house was just built in 2020. And this KY house is $100K cheaper than the one Weesa posted the link to.
