    Chebby needs tires, mentioned that a while back
    got a bunch of quotes.
    two stores are about the same price for the Toyo's
    store A is a mom and pop, single location business. Owner gave me the quote, super nice to me, didn't give me the usual condescending vibe i get from some mechanics, etc
    store B has lots of locations across the state. Dude I talked to was kinda asshole-ish to me.

    I want to go with A because they obviously have better customer service but B would be a lot more convenient if I ever happen to get a flat or anything while I'm on my camping expeditions. Plus I could always hope that a branch in another city was less busy and could squeeze me in on short notice for a rotate and balance, store A would usually require an appointment a week or so out as they're short handed...waht to do...

    He's planning the counter attack, it's gonna get messy!

    As nice as it would be to support the small independent shop, with the amount of traveling that you do w/ Chebby/camper, it would make more sense to buy from the chain that has locations near the places that you travel. The work around could be if you buy 5 tires ( matching spare) and work it into the rotation when rotating the tires. The small shop could fix the flat when you get home, no need to run on a odd ball spare tire.

    I have bought mine from a mom and pop store here in town for years and they have been great. But if you are on the road a good bit we had to buy camper tires at a discount tire in Florida a couple years ago and they had us back on the road in no time and if I remember correctly you get flats fixed in the deal.

    the shop i go to now is 1 of 2 in the state, never been to the other shop as its not really near my usual routes. they've always been super nice to me but they are always 2 or 3 weeks out for a simple R&B. i just worry if I go with the other mom and pop place i'd end up with the same frustration. the convenience of having multiple locations is the main draw to the other shop, regardless of the customer service.

    I would go with the Mom and Pop store !!!

    I would also go with (5) tires !! with the spare tire mounted on full sized rim if applicable . That way you're safe to travel long distances at fwy speeds without destroying the spare


    Do you have RV coverage thru auto club or good Sam club ???? . Good thing to have if you don't have it . They can have a tire service dispatched to you with the correct size tire and load rating

    I might tend towards the mom 'n pop for the purchase. The chain is always there in case of emergency. You may not get the best service but it didn't sound like you were going to get the best service on the purchase either. Just my $.02.
