Impulse I hear you along with the others and that has been my mantra , she knows this too but for some reason can not fully follow through with things she says she will do . We shall see I am wearing her down :}
It is a matter of wills either they are going to come around or end up In jail. Both have had charges but gotten slaps . In this state I can tell you that you will get a few slaps but then you are going to get slapped in the head hard! The cellar dwellers recent action was to get him self thrown out of JOB CORE training that he signed himself up for spent months got in to the program left here Mid OCT went to VA for the training with a friend of his and tada he got into a beef with the friend and got himself tossed out a week ago. The friend is even dumber he quit and left with him sigh. I usually let her deal with it unless she asks cause when I give solutions or possible solutions she agrees in the moment but does a 180 later which just annoys the hell out of me so it is better to just for me to stay out of it.

Hope they straighten up before they get in more trouble. It's not easy being a parent.

I've had to learn to not say anything to my kids about certain things.... Younger son said they didn't want any parenting advice - they are going to raise them the "new way" Asked him what that meant and some of it is the "old way" but not saying a word.

 

sister in law has her 3 kids we've tried subtly to help but are told that's not what the book says to do i just laugh and shut up. when the oldest child (2 1/2) did something bad they looked at me as they started to "speak sternely to him" i just told them don't look at me i'd have already whooped his but
