    Evening everyone

Just got back from the car show and had a lot of fun Bench Racing and eating a good dinner consisting of a double cheeseburger , fries and a LG soda . Because of the colder temps today and if you call low 60 deg temps cold the car count was low today , maybe 15 cars but still a fun time

Found out or I should say my Camaro really likes this cold air . its only 55 deg right now but all that cold air is making some good hp #'s . The throttle response is awesome but cold temps makes for less than ideal traction

Couldn't get the power to the ground without some tire smoke and also cornering with cold drag radials made for some pucker factor !!

My old chevelle loved the cooler weather. I had taken my fender wells out to keep that big block bored over 30,375 hp 396 cool. Even had electric fans on stat.

I've been wanting to pull my inner fenders off for awhile now but my line lock and fuel press regulator are mounted to them

I took the 64 C10 to a couple of shows around San Diego and quickly realized that crowd is just a bunch of uppity rooti-poots. It's a mixed crowd of speed and restorers, but all I got was a bunch of crap and shitty attitudes. When it had the original 230 cu in motor and the 3 on the tree they talked about the paint, then when I put the 350 in it I heard about everything from not big enough motor to no blower to it doesn't have the delux sterring wheel. Then I realized people wanted me to build my truck to their wants so I quit going. And, when I quit going I had guys I'd met at the shows telling me I should bring it back to the shows. Then I seen that attendance was down and they wanted more vehicles and someone to talk to. I then figured that about a quarter of the folks were the ones stirring the pot and pretty much would run any new folks off so, f'em. That was about 4 years ago and I really haven't had the urge. There's a crew of old timers that meet up about 2 blocks away that I may go check out one of these months.

The car show I go to which is at a Farmer Boys restaurant is a pretty good show with a lot of 50 plus yr old people that are regulars . We bench race a lot and have fun . I've been going to this location now going on 8 yrs and still have fun

The person who puts this show on plays appropriate car guys music and have a raffle and best of show at the end of the event . No one here at this show bad mouths or makes fun of someone's car

During the colder Winter months we will see maybe 20 cars and during the summer months 30 plus cars

The cars that come to this monthly show range from fully restored 50's thru 70's era cars , custom street rods , Barrett Jackson cars to drag race cars like mine

I think the San Diego shows were just too diverse. I've walked through other shows, including the bigger ones like Good Guys, where most everyone was having a good time and talking and really enjoying themselves. And I still like to walk through occasionally, but it'll be a while before the 64 is anything more.

Whenever I pull in or any of my friends drag race cars you should see the crowd its so funny . its like they need to stare and drool , ill leave my engine running and the cackle of a sbc idling at 1200rpm makes them quickly walk over to my car

If my friends pull up in their cars they quickly leave mine and walk to there's . If I throw a rev then they walk back to mine , its so funny to watch LOL!!!

The last 2 car shows I went to with the AMX had people thinking I had an auto. Lol.
I do this low power, low rpm quick shift to practice and not stress the drivetrain.
Yeup had one guy thinking I had two cars....

Try pulling away with 4500stall converter and manual valve body , the people there will do whatever it takes to get to the sidewalk to watch LOL!!!

I usually will flash the converter to get the tires to chirp

Yea but they don't shift and even have air shifters.
Put a lenco in it or 4 speed and super stock it

Seriously, auto trans technology is far advanced, pulling gears is a lost art now.
