While I appreciate that sentiment, I don't deserve it as much as those in uniform I helped protect each and every day! All those computer programs I ran and tests/experiments I conducted went to saving their life in the field.

I get it, but those that work in the public sector for a lot less money do so for the greater good. Again thanks.

My chiropractor has been helpful. While I did not enjoy the confined space of the MRI, it did help to pinpoint the issue. The have open MRIs, although I don't know much about them - like if they are covered by insurance. I wonder if that would help you get the job done?

I went to 3 different MRI/diagnostic facilities in the last 3 months. The third place has what they call "standard", "large bore" and "open MRI" scanners. The "large bore" is only a couple inches larger then a standard, and I didn't fit in it either. They showed me the "open MRI", as they explained it is open on the sides, so I naturally thought that may work. The open MRI is basically two flat panels in parallel (top, bottom) and it is indeed open on all sides. However..... the distance between the top - bottom plane is actually quite a bit less that even a standard MRI, so I would never fit in that type scanner either.

All the radiology Techs suggested maybe a CT scan might be good enough to give a doctor an idea of what my the problems are in my back. I've had several CT scans, they are a much, much larger diameter tube than an MRI. We shall see......

I had a CT scan a few days ago at the VA in Nashville . It was a tight fit and I'm 6ft 4" 200 lbs , was instructed to lift my arms above my head

Just got back home from the VA from my general health care doctor's visit . Somehow , someway my Doctor's visit that I was expecting to be an in clinic visit turned in to a Virtual phone call visit Doctor's appointment

I walked into the clinic after my 45 minute 35 mile drive . Go to check in and the receptionist informs me the my Doctor is not here and is at her office and you have virtual phone visit scheduled at 1400 hrs instead

So I walk back to my truck and wait the half hour and my doctor calls me by a normal phone call not the virtual visit . The conversation lasts 5 minutes and tells me the receptionist will call you to set up your next visit in 6 months

Evening everyone :hattip: Had a doctors appointment today, went pretty good. It looks like I’m done driving for six months. It’s standard seizure protocol, even though I’m on anti seizure medication. Have had three major episodes in the last six months, it is what it is. Wanted to get back to work/driving but it ain’t happening. Need to verify the medication works and I stay seizure free. I would feel horrible if it happened while driving, not to mention the liability I would incur. Sooo this is going to be a new phase of life. I’m going to be 66 in July, been working full time since I was 16, this will take some getting used to. Hell things could be worse.

Damn, we’ll stay on those meds and stay healthy! And you’re right, things could be worse! Stay positive and things will work out for the better.
