Good Morning and happy TGIF !!

It's been raining since 2030hrs and since 0015 it's been raining very hard . Been seeing 1"-2" per hr at times and since midnite we've seen 2.25" total rainfall in my area

There's been a lot of bad mud & debris flows also in my area that is causing a lot of problems . Going to stay dry and stay inside today until this wet weather passes

Good morning and happy Friday for those that have a Friday. 9 above here -7 wind chill and already snowing supposed to go until 6 PM tomorrow, 7-9 inches. Need to go and pick up some gabapentan at the pharmacy this morning, don't want to drive in this already but going to be a long weekend without it. When it stops snowing tomorrow temp drops to -22 actual temp. High on Sunday -9. Headed out for all you can eat snow crab on Sunday come hell or high water. Think it is more like hell...

We have had 3 vehicles stolen this week here that were running with the keys in them. 1 in a driveway and 2 when they were at work. And they reminded people that if your vehicle is stolen with the keys in it the insurance companies will not pay for it. So now your making monthly payments for a vehicle someone else is driving, something to think about...

Because of the cold I see people pull up next to me at a Kwik Trip and run inside with the vehicle running and the keys in it. Back when there only 50k people in town here that was OK. Now that is over 100k no way would I ever do that. Hell I lock the truck even if for a few minutes. And will often use the remote start to keep it running if I feel the need. I'll take the remote start and Viper enhanced security system any day. Some satisfaction too in getting a text and email alert from the system and running to a window to see some dick head that opened his or her door into my sliders and is checking out their door for damage. Haven't had an attempted break in yet, and hope I never do.

I do too. Picked up another Ithaca 37 20 ga. ultralight yesterday from my old small time FFL dealer. He had an old Dukbak poster I ended up with. The jacket here was my grandfathers and is an old Dukbak.

I have a boiler heating system and the bottom floors (multi-level) are cement. Of course the pipes run through it. Makes the floor in the downstairs bathroom nice and warm. But when I start to loose water in the 50 year old system my butt puckers and I start to worry about it being in the slab. I hear ya!

Ouch get better soon! They make us get a flu shot at work each year. I usually end up with a strain that wasn't the same as the shot.

Yeah bad news is -5 is nothing here, more like -20 is common. And doesn't change the density of the tick population. Think it has more to do with the amount of moisture in the spring and temps more than anything else. End up drenching my clothes in permethrin and me in DEET every spring for the little blood sucking bastages.
