Morning 50's! Had a great Mother's Day celebrating with the Grand Daughters. I was fed pretzel sticks during church service, that was a first for me! Afterward, Baby Zay and I had fun with mini cupcakes. Yeah Pappy got growled at but I really don't care. Let this workday be fast!

    Good Morning Folks :hattip:

Sunny and 35 degrees. Going to a beautiful day:).
My neighbor the cabinet guy, is coming over this morning to size up the kitchen for new cabinets. Then I'm going to the appliance store to eye up a new refrigerator. Then its to the flooring store. Just getting ideas now.

Your posts about your grand kids always make me smile:)

A few weeks, maybe months back, ,I had mentioned I was going to fulfill a bucket list item - going to see Buddy Guy. I hadn't seen him before, and this is "allegedly" his retirement tour. He's only 86 years old..... not sure why he wants to hang it up after 65 years, but hey, at least I got to see him :D I normally don't spend the $$$, but for this.... 6th row, dead center seats. Worth every $.

I new this evening would not be like any other concern I had ever been to, and I was not disappointed in any way. This was far more than just a concert. Much more than just music. There are many blues artists out there. But Buddy is, as far as I know, the very last OG bluesman still on this side of the grass and still cranking it out. This was a history lesson. A trip back in time to an age that is long gone. Lead by a man who lived the reality of conditions that gave birth to the blues itself. That authenticity will die with him, sadly. All I can really say is...... one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

Here is a short ~2 minute video clip. This is when he first came on stage.

This is a ~12 minute clip, about 1/2 way through his set.

Leaving for vacation Thursday. Trying to get ahead before I leave so that my moron boss doesn’t have to mess with much while I’m gone. IT decides to screw with my computer. Told me I had a new laptop to pick up, all ready to go. So I go down to the office last Thursday to get it. No one can find it. So they gave me a tablet and said use this. Uh…no. No way in hell that can run autocad and everything else. Hour and a half wasted and they finally find my new laptop. IT connects to it remotely and 3 hours later they tell me everything is good to go. I bring it home and turn it on. Not a single thing installed on it. WTF. So the rest of Thursday was wasted downloading and installing software. And then it crashes.
And since it’s still not set up I’m using my old computer today. Except it won’t connect to the internet. No idea why. IT guy tells me to give him the remote log in so he can check it out. Why? It won’t connect to the internet so I cant get the log in nor will he be able to connect to it. And I can’t get ahold of anyone in the office to help.
So here I am, sitting on TW wasting time while I have probably 50+ hours of work to do my EOB Wednesday.
