    Good morning, All !

Corny Joke Of The Day: Sheepdog tells the farmer, all the sheep are accounted for, all 40 of them. Farmer says, but I only have 36. Sheepdog tells him, yeah but I rounded them up.

    Have a good one !

    Oh this is so true...
I vented more than once to my boys teachers. Ya round up engine measurements and see how it works.
Close enough is not good enough. Woof woof.... :)

    Good morning everyone.

No wind here, -4 when I took the dogs out and felt almost balmy without the wind. Up to 22 today and 31 tomorrow it is a crazy year. High of -7 on Sunday and -18 when get up to go to work on Monday. Hope there isn't any wind but doubtful. I swear once they cut the corn between here and the Rockies there is nothing to stop the wind and it usually doesn't stop all winter.

Once again, I'd like to "like" one of Marty's posts multiple times. That look on Rufus' face tells it all. So glad he was rescued from his situation and will have a chance at a normal and happy life. Thanks again for your work, Marty.

I assume if they get re-homed, it has to be a home with no other animals since they've been trained since they were pups to fight.

Makes me ill to think of this kind of abuse going on in our world every day.

My wife and I have 3 dogs, all rescues. We also have 5 birds. (Jenday Conure, Pineapple Conure, Green Cheek Conure, Nanday Conure, and Sun Conure) The last 3 of those are rescues. People buy a bird because they're beautiful, then put 'em in a cage and ignore them. One of ours was kept in a closet for almost a year. When we first got it, "Eme" was scared to death of humans. I took my time, made her feel comfortable with me around, gradually letting her get used to my hand being near her....After 6 months, she finally stepped up on my finger one day. Within a week, she was sitting on my shoulder as I walk around the house. Now I'm her best friend! It's an incredible feeling when you help a scared, abused animal to have a normal life. Hard to say who rescues who.....

Dogs seem to be able to sense when someone is their friend. And all they want is someone to be their friend.

My mom loved animals. So did my dad, but mom went the extra mile to help lost or injured animals. She had a saying that she'd repeat when ever anyone said something about her love of animals.....

"All God's creatures, great and small".

Like Hank Williams Jr sang about, "I'm just carrying on an old family tradition".....

Pain is a relative concept....I used to think my right knee was a source of serious pain. Then, 4 weeks ago, while at the ER, I found out what bladder spasms were. My previous "7 or 8" on the 1 to 10 pain scale became a 3 or 4.....And I now have a new way of describing "10"....
