Should be under warranty. Even the cheapest water heaters usually have a 3-year warranty, but that'll only cover the heater, not the labor. Do you rent or own?

Have been reading up on it and it mentions that the thermal switch possibly tripped due to excessive temperature !( above 180°) inside the tank

 

Called the builders warranty dept and they're supposedly going to call me back over this water heater issue

There's a recall on this water heater from 2022 involving overheating and reported fire . When I received the recall notice the serial # of my water heater wasn't listed .

 

Ok, I was about to ask "You own the place, but have to go through a Property Management outfit?"

 

It's a Towne Home development which is only 75 percent completed . The property management is the builder of the property . They're handling all the issues the homeowners are finding

Mid 60's and rain in the Mid- Atlantic right now. Looks like it's going to be wet through all of next week. Summer Solstice today, I'm not ready to start loosing daylight already. It was freeking cold up to the beginning of May this year. I got the front end all put back together on the GMC last night. I had issues with the sway bar hitting the upper control arm, it took a bit of head scratching before I figured that someone had cranked the torsion bars to the moon to raise the front end of the truck.

There is a bizarre process per the GM repair manual for setting the correct 'Z' height of the control arms, the points of reference are too offset from each other for me to get a good measurement, so I measured from the lower shock mount to the bottom of the metal dust shield on the shock and set each side to mid-travel of the shock. This put the lower control arms and new CV axle shafts a lot flatter plus made a lot of space between the end of the sway bar and the upper control arm. Now it just needs a really good alignment, one that will set the caster and camber.
