    Had a 4/10 mile dirt track @9 miles from the house that closed.ran modifieds like these and some sprints. went and saw Kenny Schrader run one nite in the sprints,you could sit on my deck in the summer and hear them race. this is racing i grew up on.

    Good morning, everyone. I just finished some over-easy/scrambled eggs mixed with chunks of a hot/spicy salami and hot salsa mixed in. ( It's tastes much better then it sounds) Another trip to the blue box store to get some shims is next. Yesterday I worked on getting the free ends of the joists realigned/spaced properly-ish. The shrinkage/warpage from being out all winter/spring really caught up to me. Lots of using clamps and ratchet straps and a home made/cobble-fest of a joist twister to get things back to where they're supposed to be. The big triple 2x8 beam got a bit of a bow in it, about an 1-1/2" over the 12' span. No amount of hard work was going to change it, so I will just have to live with it.

    Maybe just the brass casings are doing that? I thought that you didn't like guns?

    From 2003 - 2015 , I was a Dirt track official with CDCRA " Calif Dwarf car racing association " . These were 1k lbs race cars powered by 300hp 4cyl Yamaha R1 or Suzuki GXSR engines

    These little cars were fast with average lap times in the low 16 to 17 sec laps around 70 - 75mph on 3/8th mile track . Alot of Sprint car drivers loved racing these cars as they felt like they were driving a miniature version of their 360 or 410 sprint cars

    We used to race at well known Socal Dirt tracks such as Ventura speedway , Bakersfield speedway , Perris speedway , Santa Maria speedway and Chowchilla
