    :wave: evening gang. Welp, front yard cut, branch broken up enough to cut around it, other branches burned up, and leaves blown off of shade cloth (well most of them anyway) so the rain we are supposed to get, doesn't add weight to it.

    jeebus....hope my neighborhood survives the night
    were under a severe thunderstorm warning with high winds. just started kicking up about 15 minutes ago. i can see the camper swaying in the wind just sitting in my driveway. not good
    got something on the house thumping around in the wind - maybe a gutter blown loose?
    had a couple flashes of lightning and then a flash and boom of thunder simultanously. when the thunder cracked my eardrums popped. pretty sure something very very close got hit. not the stadium lights two blocks over, those have been hit before and it wasn't loud like this was.

    and now i hear sirens coming...

    Yeah. Got the camper locked and unplugged just in case. Figure it’s safer running on battery and not plugged into the house :notsure:
    Got my computers unplugged too just in case.
    Oddly didn’t lose power or internet. But I think I’m in the same power grid as the airport now so maybe that’s somehow a more protected utility or something?

    no idea where the sirens went but I don’t hear them anymore.
    Just rain now, wind calmed down. Glad I’m not NW of here, looks like that’s where the bulk of this storm is hitting

    I’m glad it’s calming down. School is okay, no significant damage. That new grid might be working in your favor. I know they switched us a couple of years ago and we haven’t lost power since.
